Quality Management System
The enterprise has established and abides by a validated quality system, as means to guarantee the compliance of the product by determined requirements. The quality system ensures that all those activities that take place in the enterprise and influence the quality and the safety of product are recorded.
The quality system includes:
a) preparation of validated processes
and directives of the quality system and safety according to the requirements that follow the international model as well as the above mentioned directive.
b) effective application of validated processes and directives of the quality system.
At the topic of safety the plan of H.A.C.C.P. is described and the C.C.P.s are presented, as well as the critical limits of these.
H.A.C.C.P. is a methodology that is obligatorily applied and that leads to a system that ensures the production of healthy products, by tracking down and eliminating the dangers that can stem from the raw materials, processes, stages or treatments during the production, storage or use of the foods. These dangers, if they are not foreseen, can set the health of consumer in danger.
Responsibility of the Industry is to detect the dangers, foresee their appearance and apply the procedures that will eliminate them.
CARDICO S.A. is perhaps the first company in Greece in the field of nuts that applied the above mentioned systems and then successfully certified them
according to the model of ISO 9002:1994/EN ISO 9002:1994 in April 2000, according to the model ISO 9001:2000/EN ISO 9001:2000 in December 2004 and
according to the model BRC - Higher Level (British Retail Consortium) in January 2005.
